class descriptions

This class begins with slow, fluid movement and simple breathwork to warm the body and unravel the excess muscular tension from the day, and then winds down to stillness and guided visual imagery to quite the mind and release mental stress. Students are encouraged to pace their practices with the goal of cultivating ease and a state of relaxation. Each class will explore common themes and issues relevant to partners like creating a sense of safety, regulating emotions and triggers, calming ruminations and intrusive thoughts, processing grief, and rebuilding self-trust.

    Gentle Flow for Betrayed Partners    

A combination of restful postures and the meditative practice of “yogic sleep,” designed to help partners relax deeply to activate the parasympathetic nervous system, which rebuilds and recovers our essential health functions. This class invites stillness, comfort, quiet, introspection, and long holds while lying on the floor fully supported with props. The class ends with a 30-minute yoga nidra mediation that explores the states of wakefulness and sleep with breathing, body scanning, guided imagery, and sensory awareness. Ideal for burnout, fatigue, and letting go of stress.

   Restorative Yoga Nidra   

Chronic stress disrupts our physical and mental wellness, often resulting in anxiety, depression, and burnout. Yoga and mindfulness practices reduce tension accumulated in the body, mind, and heart, soothing an overactive nervous system.  This class aims to address dysregulation with tools such as gentle stretching, breath awareness, meditation, visualization, and reframing negative thought patterns to promote calm, balanced energy.  This class is suitable for beginners and anyone looking to explore emotional wellness through yoga.

Yoga for Emotional Health & Well Being

Open to all members of the Rise and Vibe Yoga Therapy community at no charge. Each week we’ll explore a guided meditation to ground into the present moment and connect with each other. No experience is necessary other than showing up with a willing heart.
