ABOUT ME
I immediately felt the energizing and calming effects of yoga when I took my first class 30 years ago. It started out as a refuge from overthinking, anxiety, and burnout. Later, it saved my life when I endured the dark years of betrayal and trauma. These days my yoga practice inspires me to be kind to myself and to feel a connection to divine grace. I am especially grateful to share what I know and connect with others on their healing journey.
I completed my yoga therapy certification at the Mindfulness Center in 2024. I hold an E-RYT-200, RYT-500, and YAEPC through Yoga Alliance. I have taken over 500 additional hours in training for yoga for anxiety, depression, and trauma; yin yoga; restorative yoga; and meditation. I am certified as a life coach and have completed the Multidimensional Partner Trauma Training (MPTM) through APSATS. My yoga training is combined with over 20 years as college writing faculty.
Off the mat, I hike, read, cook, travel, and spend time with my husband, two dogs, and four cats.
